Spring 2026 Critique Groups

I’m hosting two critique groups this spring! Each group is designed to support new or ongoing artistic projects. Artists working in traditional and expanded photography will receive direct feedback and guidance on moving projects forward. Through group discussion and constructive critique, the group offers community and fellowship with practical advice on completing projects, preparing for portfolio reviews, and finalizing image selections for proposals and applications.

Available in-person or online. Please sign up for only one group.

Effective Exhibition Proposals with Jennifer Murray

Wednesday, October 14th, 6 pm - 8 pm

Artists often need to submit proposals to galleries for solo exhibitions. Learn how to present yourself and your work successfully in a standard proposal format. Topics covered will include project statements and artist statements, artist bios, and choosing the best visuals.

This workshop is ideal for emerging and mid-career artists, recent graduates, and new practitioners planning to submit proposals in the near future or looking to learn more about working with exhibition spaces. Attention will also be given to adapting proposals for residency and grant applications. The focus will be on developing a cohesive project statement and choosing images that best support your proposal.

This workshop will be hybrid. Participants may attend on-site or via Zoom. Registration is required.

$10 for the general public
$5 for CAC alumni
FREE for current CAC residents
